The chair arrived quickly. The large box it was in worried me at first because fairly banged up. But the corners all had sizeable foam brackets attached to the outside of the box. Removed the brackets and opened the box top. There was 2 thick foam covering the top and sides of the chair. I laid the foam out flat, tipped the box, and the chair easily scooted onto the foam. Once chair sitting flat on foam I could easily lift chair up and carry it into my townhouse and up a flight of stairs (and used foam to protect seat bottom). Heavy but not too awkward. Then placed chair on its back on the foam and attached the legs. The legs are attractive, attached to metal braces, then bolts are used to screw the metal brackets into wooden seat bottom. Attaching legs easy using provided Allen Wrench and sturdy bolts. There were a few scuffs near the tops of 2 legs. Minor and not noticeable once assembled they could be easily blended in using a wood stain if desired. The chair is very lovely and has a mid-20th century modern furniture. Comfortable, particularly with a pillow behind ones back if needed. The chair is well made, looks like online photo, and I am very pleased. I would recommend this chair unreservedly.
